When
I attended, the staff was incredible! For the first time in my life, I
began growing as a Christian, much due to the encouragement of my instructors.
You could tell it was more than just a job for them. They
truly cared.
Debbie
McMullin, 1986 graduate of The Ridge
We are
so grateful for caring teachers that take the time to give extra help
to their students when it is needed. Most importantly, at WRBA it goes
beyond just the academics. The staff is willing to work with families
to develop students that excel spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Randy & Doriece Stickfort, parents of four students/alumni
WRBA offers the best of both worlds to our family. Our daughter
is not only being academically challenged, but also spiritually enriched.
Becky Franks, mother of kindergartener
I am constantly amazed at how well my children read and think about
challenges they face. They think about other's feelings often. Their teachers
are so dedicated and caring -- simply what I want for my kids!
Scott Van Sickle, father of 1st and 3rd graders
A Christian school is the only atmosphere where eternal truth can
be proclaimed as the basis for all knowledge. Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy
provides a quality education that prepares young men and women to make
a difference in our culture.
Merrill Oster, father of alumni
Oster Communications
"We feel that our children got a quality education at Walnut Ridge.
The classes were taught from a Biblical world-view which is very important
for our Christian young people today. It was so good to see our children
make Christian friends and engage in wholesome social activities."
Dave and Gloria Smith, parents of four students/alumni
I got an excellent education. But what Walnut Ridge did for me is
give me a burden for ministry. What God did in those years at the Academy
was put a burning desire in my heart for ministry, especially youth ministry
and discipleship.
Dave Peters, 1979 graduate of The Ridge
Senior pastor of Hagerman Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa
I believe WRBA offers a sincere Biblical and excellent academic
educationa wonderful environment for all ages.
Brenda Vandersee, mother of alumni
They (students) get the education. Some of that they can get other
places. They cannot get the surrounding of real Christians other places.
When you put them in a concentration of Christians, it shapes their lives.

and grandfather of four children who attend now

Since 1973,
Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy has served the Waterloo Cedar Falls area
by equipping their students intellectually, physically and most of all,
spiritually, to thrive in an increasingly complex world. I applaud the
Walnut Ridge faculty, students and parents for exemplifying the best
of what Iowa has to offer.
Senator Charles Grassley, grandparent of one child
at The Ridge
I feel that this school is like no other! It has so much to offer.
Great teachers, staff and people who pray for your children
.WRBA
is a light in a dark, dark world. May its light never go out!
Lisa Swanson, mother of three alumni and grandmother
of current students
I did not
fit in at the public schools, but I was able to find friends at WRBA.
Also, the education you get is far superior and strongly encouraging
in your walk with Christ. It also prepared me to keep my convictions
for later.
Joseph Pruckler, 2007 graduate of The Ridge
The teachers at Walnut Ridge inspired me to want to become one
myself, so that I could not only offer the gift of education, but also
of love and how to live life as a Christian in this world. My teachers
always cared about me beyond my education, and now as a teacher, I constantly
look to see my students in that same light. In the public schools I
see that most teachers do not have that depth of Christ´s love
for each student and those kids really need someone to love them like
that. At Walnut Ridge I was blessed to receive it.
Amy Dolgener, 2000 graduate of The Ridge
Spanish teacher and interpreter
"I've appreciated the friends and teachers I've gotten to know.
I had many teachers over the years with whom I developed a personal
relationship. They cared about my education and guided me through. I
especially appreciated Miss Sewell's Senior Bible Class, because it
prepared me to face the secular world with its attacks on my faith.
Natalie Smith, 2007 graduate of The Ridge
If you desire an excellent education enriched by the teaching
of Gods Word, I recommend Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy. The Biblical
emphasis at the Academy will add another needed dimension to your childs
education.
