Service Jesus came to the world to serve others, and he wants us to do the same. This Biblical truth undergirds our intentional emphasis on Christian service at Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy. Students are encouraged to live out their faith through various classroom and school-wide service projects throughout the year. For example, most years our students will participate in the following:
Christ-like Character We are successful as a school if we can aide your child in developing Christ-like character while he or she pursues academic learning. To this end, we employ the Honorable Character Program to assist us in reaching the hearts of our students and building an inner foundation. While many schools talk about building character in students, we believe that true character is only built when Gods truth is recognized, celebrated, and obeyed. Thats why our character program is different than others you will find. It gives students a reason to strive for honorable characterbecause the Creator of the universe commanded it in the Bible, not because Mrs. Jones said so. Our Honorable Character Program is modified according to the age of the students. Younger students participate in a positive classroom management program that encourages their demonstration of 14 character qualities with Biblical basis. Older students participate in weekly chapels that explore each character quality and how it is expressed in a Christians life. The 14 character qualities emphasized in our program are:
